QotD: Three Foods Forever

If you could eat only 3 foods for the rest of your life, what would they be?
Submitted by formance.

I would eat sushi, wings, and a garden salad.  Okay, so my choices are really three menu items, I still wouldn't change my answer!!

How many email addresses do you have?  What are they for?
Submitted by clippedwings.

It's ridiculous.  I had to get a blackberry pearl just to keep up with them all.

I had never bothered with the little video clip function on Rachel's little Panasonic Lumix LZ2.  At least until I started working with Vox... which occured to me is perfectly setup for these little video clips. (Yea, Yea... YouTube does this too, but never in the context of a blog post, so there)  Now I know what to tell people when they ask what you can use the little video's for.

Little kids are a perfect excuse to keep your camera no farther than arms length away from you at all times.  I finally am able to show off my son's (biased comment forthcoming) absolutely hilarious singing to himself, which he does all day long.  Enjoy.

Autocross around the bananas and kumquats

Let's see what this baby can do
Let's see what this baby can do

Outside the Grocery Store
So, Rachel, Nathaniel and I start to want into Shopper's Food Warehouse earlier tonight and as we are getting close, Nathaniel veers nearly perpendicular to where we were headed and dives headfirst into one of those fisher-price coupe/grocery cart things, squirms upright and starts moving the wheel like he's expecting it to go racing off in to the night in search of hot chicks or maybe just a fresh diaper.

Inside the Store...
Once we pry him away from the hot chicks, we actually get inside the grocery store and I notice Nathaniel seems to be moving the wheel in whatever direction Rachel is turning the cart.  Rachel suddenly swerves to go check out the banana stand and Nathaniel actually seems to lean into the turn.  Ohh... he's going to be a holy terror when he figures out how to pedal and turn on his trike.

QotD: OS Preference

Windows, Mac, Linux - What's your preference and why?
Submitted by ramblingsbymark.

All three have their pro's and con's, but it my case, it's got to be a mac.  I just really got into photography with my Pentax K100D and the macs with OS 10.x. are easily the most superior option for digital workflow.  (I am using Windows XP at the moment and wanting to throw the stupid Dell box out the window)

Holey Swiss Mice, Birthday Boy, you got a nice parking space!

Best Parking Spot at Wegmans
Best Parking Spot at Wegmans

I swear the title will make sense in a second.  After work on my birthday, I had to run to the grocery store to pick up milk on my way home.  I stopped by Wegmans because, a) it's right on my way home, and b) they surprisingly usually have the cheapest whole milk.  Anyway, I pull into the parking lot, and I noticed that someone had called ahead and made sure there was an awesome parking spot for the birthday boy ;)

So, for reasons unknown to myself at the time, I take my camera in with me to go grab milk.  I am walking along the back of the store and happen upon the cheese section (not the gourmet cheese section... the cheese section for regular people) and I see the funniest thing I've ever seen in a grocery store.

Holey Swiss Mice, Batman!
Holey Swiss Mice, Batman!
If you lean back and smoosh some bread out of your way, you see these mice appearing to impale their fellow cheese aficionado in their zeal to... um... drill holes in a swiss cheese wedge.  They apparently aren't the brightest mice around.  To paraphrase the Bard, "Comedy is just Tragedy plus time."   ...or a drill and three stupid mice.

Grain Silo at Night
Grain Silo at Night

This is one of the best photo's I've taken so far with my new Pentax K100D Digital SLR.  It's a fantastic camera and I'm enjoying it immensely.

I took it close to 1AM on Friday, Nov. 3rd.  It was unbelieveably cold out and it took me over a half hour to get this shot just the way I wanted it.  BTW, the Pentax K100D eats AA batteries like there was no tomorrow when you do thirty second exposures.
